Astrapē is a systems engineering practice. No account manager, no junior bench — you work directly with the engineer doing the work, on a few projects at a time, on purpose.
Every machine we work on is a loop: sense, compute, actuate — measure the true state, decide what should happen, and make it move. Systems engineering is the discipline that keeps that loop honest end to end, so a platform behaves like one machine instead of four subsystems that don't talk.
We specialize in making things move with electric motors and software — and we take the hard problems no one else will. Most of what we build is motorsport: the cars, the drivetrains, the rigs behind them. We work at the systems level — architecture, integration, controls and V&V; when a job needs stamped detail design, we bring in the right PE. Every stage produces something you can measure, not a slide deck.
The company is two old Greek ideas welded together: the flash that moves, and the hand that steers it.

The helmsman who reads the sea and corrects the tiller. Norbert Wiener took the word in 1948 to name cybernetics. The same root, through Latin, becomes governor — the office, and the feedback device that holds an engine's speed.
The dream is older than the word. Hephaestus forged Talos, the bronze automaton that walked the shores of Crete on its own — the first machine built to move itself. We're still at it. We just measure them now.
